Disney 'Supressing Path to 9/11 DVD'

A mutual fund manager claimed in a letter that Walt Disney's Chief Executive Officer, Robert Iger, won't allow the ABC television miniseries "Path to 911" to come out on DVD as a favor to the Clintons. Although the miniseries was watched by 28 million viewers and had seven Emmy nominations, shareholders will lose about $40 million because it ran without commercials and because it never came out on DVD.

Former members of the Clinton administration including Madeline Albright and Sandy Berger, and other top Democratic officials, criticized the film, calling the dramatization historically fallacious, and calling on Disney to cancel the film.

Borelli claimed Igor withheld the film for political reasons and to silence freedom of speech. But Igor, who earns a yearly $27.7 million, said it was for purely business reasons, that the film was "highly controversial." Disney also helped finance Michael Moore’s controversial film Fahrenheit 9/11, which criticized Republicans and made a $46 million profit.

The miseries' writer, Cyrus Nowrasteh, also made similar claims, stating "if Hillary weren't running for president, this wouldn't be a problem."

The entire film can be seen here.
