AP Plays Race Card for Obama, Downplays Wright Impace

Exit polls: Race key in NC, IN but Wright's impact mixed

(AP)-"Race again played a pivotal role in Tuesday's Democratic presidential clashes, as whites in Indiana and North Carolina leaned solidly toward Hillary Rodham Clinton and blacks voted overwhelmingly for Barack Obama, exit polls showed. Half the voters said they were influenced by the focus on Obama's former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright."

Now, Obama just won with about 70% of the vote... so does that mean 70% of North Carolina is African-American? AP reports that 2/3 of whites voted for Clinton, implying they liked her because she was white too. But at the bottom of the article, AP mentions that 9/10 of blacks voted for Obama. This would explain why Obama won: Blacks voted more racially than whites did.

AP says Obama's wacko Rev. Wright cause a "mixed impact," but I would say half of voters being impacted is more than "mixed." But then white's wouldn't be motivated by racism would they?
