Obama Quotes You Won't See On AP

In considering the Associated Press' recent assertion that Obama's church of 20 years was not radical and that Palin is racist for bringing up Obama's friendship with a bomber... let's take a look at a few racist quotes by Obama.

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "That's just how white folks will do you. It wasn't merely the cruelty involved; I was learning that black people could be mean and then some.It was a particular brand of arrogance, an obtuseness in otherwise sane people that brought forth our bitter laughter. It was as if whites didn't know that they were being cruel in the first place. Or at least thought you deserving of their scorn."

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "So I read the book to help me understand what makes white people so afraid. Their demons. The way ideas get twisted around. It helps me understand how people learn to hate."

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "The emotions between the races could never be pure; even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien and apart."

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "..I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of twelve or thirteen when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites..."

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "...for many white people of my grandparent's generation and background the instincts ran in an opposite direction, the direction of the mob.

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "It was obvious that certain whites could be exempted from the general category of our distrust,"

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "It was this unyielding reality-that whites were not only phantoms to be expunged from our dreams but were an active and varied fact of our everyday lives...

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "Political discussions, the kind that at Occidental had once seemed so intense and purposeful, came to take on the flavor of the socialist conferences that I sometimes attended...

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school, two years at a Catholic school. In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell my mother that I made faces during Koranic studies. My mother wasn't overly concerned. Be respectful, she'd say.

(Barack Hussein Obama)- [Reverend Wright] "had grown up in Philadelphia, the son of a Baptist minister. He had resisted his father's vocation at first, joining the Marines out of college, dabbling with liquor, Islam and black nationalism."

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "I kept playing basketball, attended classes sparingly, drank beer heavily, and tried drugs enthusiastically."

(Barack Hussein Obama)- "Pot had helped, and booze;maybe a little blow when you could afford it.

(Barack Hussein Obama)- [Black Nationalism,] “a steady attack on the white race” [is justified if it can deliver results.]"

All quotes from "Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance" by Barack Obama. Btw, you know that picture of Ayers stomping on the American flag we keep seeing? That was taken in 2001, while he was sitting on the same committee as Obama.
