'Milk' Popularity NoseDives After Oscar Nod

Movie critics are puzzled why the gay-marriage propaganda film 'Milk' dropped in the ratings as soon as it was nominated for an Oscar. The film, which portrays a victim of deadly homophobia, dropped from #180 on the Internet Movie Database to #211 within hours of the announcement.

Why? Cinematical thinks, "Either [audiences had] already seen it and hated it and weren't motivated to express their disdain until after it got so much Oscar attention; or else they still haven't seen it and hate it anyway."

But critic AwardsDaily blames the "gay-basing" bigots who "see an important gay film as a threat" and "climb out of their holes and start shredding it."

The timing for 'Milk' around proposition 8 is unmistakable. It illogically seeks to associate gay-killings with democratically upholding traditional marriage. Furthermore, the opposition to gay marriage are the ones receiving violence, death threats, and anthrax letters.
