AP Covers Up Censorship Of Pro-Traditional Marriage Student

The Associated Press reported:

"Jonathan Lopez says a public speaking professor berated him in class for making a speech opposing same-sex marriage. He says the professor wouldn't allow him to finish and called him a "fascist."

... In a letter to the group, the dean says she considers the complaint "extremely serious in nature" and has begun a disciplinary investigation.

But the dean also wrote that two students were "deeply offended" by the speech. She quoted one as saying "this student should have to pay some price for preaching hate in the classroom."

The teacher didn't call Lopez a "fascist", the teacher (John Matteson) called him a "fascist bastard." A bit worse.

LA Times reports that the censorship was even worse than that, and provides a conflicting report about the school taking the complaint seriously:

"The professor also refused to give Lopez a grade for the speech, telling him to "ask God" for his mark, the suit alleges. And when Lopez complained to college officials, Matteson threatened to have him expelled, the suit says"

Ah yes, the AP news. "Failing to report what really happened around the world."
