AP Spins Republican Opposition To $3.6 Trillion Budget

Not a single Republican in the House voted for a $3.6 trillion budget that will quadruple the nation's debt. But this isn't what the Associated Press reported. AP reported:

AP- "On a long day and night, the House was first to vote, and approved its version of the budget on a 233-196 roll call that fell largely along party lines."

AP went on to suggest that Republicans actually opposed anything but this massive spending bill.

AP- "But a Republican alternative fared poorly in the House, where 38 GOP lawmakers voted against a plan supported by their own leadership."

AP reports that the legislation "cleared the way for release of $350 billion in financial industry bailout funds, approved an expansion of children's health care and sent Obama legislation setting aside more than 2 million acres in nine states as protected wilderness."

What AP fails to report is that Obama's budget will also nationalize healthcare and propose cap and trade limits on the economy.

I like Democrat Harry Reid's statement: "It's going to take a lot of work to clean up the mess we inherited." Uh, Harry, haven't the Democrats been in control of Congress for the last three years?
