Thai Monarchy Crushes Democracy, Free Speech

A Thai citizen received 10 years in prison for allegedly altering an image of the monarchy, reports AP. Laws punish any "defamation" of the king with up to 15 years in prison. Additionally the altered photograph was found to be a "national security threat": another five years.

The alleged photos have not been found, nor did the court say how they had been altered.

Thailand blocks thousands of websites they find offensive to the monarchy. My guess is this site is on that list.
