UPI, Snopes Change Obama's Birthplace After Letter Surfaces

The Kapi'olani Medical Center in Hawaii published a letter from Barack Obama in which he calls the hospital "the place of my birth." The letter has since been pulled from the website but can be seen on WND.

U.S. Rep. Neil Abercrombie, D-Hawaii reads the text of the letter in the video below (he adds some words of his own):

He claimed this letter is "settling the question once and for all."

Not quite. First of all the letter is just several jpeg images pieced together by html. It's not a scan, or even a pdf. Secondly, it has no presidential seal like a normal letter would.

Nevertheless, several websites including wikipedia, snopes, and UPI changed the reported birthplace of Obama after the letter was published. Until just a few hours ago, they all said Obama was born at the Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Looks like the conspiracy-theory busters just got busted themselves!

Below you can see a real Hawaii birth certificate from the '60s compared to Obama's supposed birth certificate from (which has vanished from the internet by the way):
