T.G.I Fridays Airs Foul Language In Commercials

I thought commercials aren't supposed to have swearing or foul language. When did this change?

Before the previews at the theater yesterday I was surprised by a commercial by the restaurant TGI Fridays that said: "Thank God it's Friday," and repeated it twice. This isn't exactly outrageous, in fact I didn't even notice it until my young niece pointed it out, but it is taking God's name in vain after all. It was at a children's movie no less.

T.G.I Fridays used to say "thank goodness it's Friday." I guess that wasn't cool enough.
