Another Lie Found In Obama's Healthcare Speech

Chicago Sun Times points out that Obama repeated an innacurate Slate magazine report.

Obama: "One man from Illinois lost his coverage in the middle of chemotherapy because his insurer found that he hadn’t reported gallstones that he didn’t even know about. They delayed his treatment, and he died because of it."

Otto Raddatz did get treatment for cancer delayed because Fortis Insurance Co. canceled his coverage during chemotherapy.

But his coverage was reinstated and treatment began in April 2005. He died four years later.

Obviously he didn't die because of the delay in treatment.
