ABC Anchor Fired After Reporting Obama's BP Contributions

Doug McKelway of ABC affiliate WJLA-TV was fired by general manager Bill Lord, Washington Post reports. The indefinite suspension results from a report on environmentalist protests against oil company contributions to Congress. This next sentence got him in trouble:

This "may be a risky strategy because the one man who has more campaign contributions from BP than anybody else in history is now sitting in the Oval Office, President Barack Obama, who accepted $77,051 in campaign contributions from BP." (washington post)

McKelway also pointed out that Democrats are unlikely to install a cap-and-trade tax so close to elections as that would anger voters.
