Guardian Pressures DC Comics To Drop Orson Scott Card As Superman Writer

The Guardian is at it again.

The radical tabloid has begun a campaign to bully DC Comics for hiring Orson Scott Card to write for a digital Superman strip. They are upset because Orson Scott Card called gay marriage "the end of democracy in America."

And that's about it. They hate Card because he correctly observed that forcing gay marriage diminishes the public's ability to vote on their laws. I mean, that's just common sense, isn't it? Before we even get to the validity of gay marriage, forcing a law and not allowing the public to vote on it diminishes democracy.

The Guardian.co.uk underlines Card's point with an ironic quote from some gay activist: "I feel like they were hoping that no one will notice. It's a free country, and what's important is what we do here." Indeed it a free country, and freedom to express one's opinion without being blacklisted is what is at stake here.

Some unknown Hollywood actor trying to get publicity goes on to compare Orson Scott Card to a white supremacist, though the actor himself is white.

Another irony is that The Guardian is one of the most bigoted and hateful tabloids out there. They are careful to label Card "a prominent member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints." Surprised? They blamed the Mormon church for Elizabeth Smart's abduction and rape, lying about Orson Scott Card's religion and claiming that the founder was just as dangerous as Elizabeth Smart's abductor.

Orson Scott Card is actually not anti-gay. He has actually included gay protagonists in his stories and written in support of gay rights. The "Superman fans" who are "up in arms" are nothing more than the usual small group of radical trouble causers, the wrecking crew, and this British tabloid that is trying to make it an issue is a typical Leftist propaganda outlet. Their problem with Card is that he is a conservative Democrat. The gay issue is just a vehicle for their Leftist machinations.
