Bible Gateway Calls Mormon City Least "Bible-Minded"

A Pew study found Mormons have the best knowledge of the bible. Looks like this irks mainstream establishment Christianity.

The American Bible Association came out with a study of their own which finds Salt Lake City at 87th among a list of 100 cities in America for its "bible-mindedness". Take that Mormons! Their study used as a measuring stick: "Bible reading and agreement that the Bible is accurate." Since Utah has some of the highest rates of bible reading in the country one can only assume the American Bible Association doesn't like the Mormon belief that the bible is sometimes translated incorrectly and had precious parts taken out.

But Bible Gateway took it a step further in their ridiculous "study." They found Salt Lake City to be dead last in their list of "Bible-Minded" USA Cities. And they claimed to be more un-biased: "our data shows overall usage regardless of how the reader feels about the Bible’s accuracy."

What a joke!

Naturally Time Magazine and the Leftist media is trumpeting the Mormon-bashing.

Salt Lake Tribune Defends The Simpsons For Labeling Mormons A 'Cult'

Mormons are easy bait for the media. We all know this. A has-been show like The Simpsons will do anything to get attention:

"I was watching a late night rerun of "The Simpsons," in which Homer and his family find themselves in an indoor play place, with a huge slide that leads to a dark hole in the ground. "Where does that slide go?" Bart asks. The answer comes as we follow a young boy down the slide as it empties into a room filled with dead-eyed children wearing white shirts and ties and standing in rows. The boy finds himself wearing a white shirt and tie, too, and he hears a voice over a loudspeaker saying, "Welcome to the Mormon Church, America's most respectable cult." (Deseret News)

Salt Lake Tribune defends this bigotry. They mis-represent a Deseret News op-ed that decries the bigotry, falsely reporting that this Simpsons episode is not what the op-ed considers "the main problem." Salt Lake Tribune falsely reports that the op-ed considers the singling out of LDS above all other religions for ridicule is the problem.

Deseret News never said that.

And then Salt Lake Tribune defends the un-funny bigotry by providing a list of other groups that the Simpsons has offended, including Richard Dawkins.

Alleged 'Extortion Site' Yelp Forms Political Committee

Yelp has been sued for demanding 'advertising purchases' in order to hide negative reviews. Many have noticed that positive reviews disappear and negative reviews get highlighted by Yelp, or people's negative reviews disappear and bogus positive reviews are pushed to the front, and many call the site a scam.

Yelp's Chief executive Jeremy Stoppelman donated overn $71,000 to Barack Obama. Big shocker there... Well now Yelp is forming a political action committee. And what are they lobbying for?

"In his official lobbying disclosure form, Crenshaw indicated that he would be lobbying on patent and copyright reform laws, as well as a potential bill blocking some defamation lawsuits." (

More power for Yelp to allegedly extort!
